Celestron Nexstar 8 SE Goto Schmidt-Cassegrain?
Has anyone ever owned, seen, or looked through one of these? I have been looking at telescopes for a long time, and I am looking at these two right now.....

I have looked through the Celestron C8 S-GT XLT Schmidt-Cassegrain, and watched the setup procedure.
The planetary views were schweet, though because of high altitude air disturbances, we were only able to get to about 200x, but that made a view of Saturn very nice indeed. Max useful mag is probably in the 300x range. This scope excels at double stars and the like. The large aperture and the long Focal Length work together for objects like this.
Deep Sky object fared pretty well, too, despite the long focal length. I discovered that the "dew eliminator" was a useful addition.
Setting up the tripod was a bit fiddly, but once it was Rock Solid it seemed to perform well. At least as far as I could tell. Good company with a solid reputation.
I know that's not much to go on.
